Age Limit :
The candidates should not be less than 25 years of age and not more than 34 years of age as on 01/10/2022.
Age Relaxation:The upper age limit is relaxable :
(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 39 years.
(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 37 years
Educational Qualification :
The minimum educational qualification for appointment to this special list of Junior Commissioned Officer (Religious Teacher) would be graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
In addition, the candidate must possess the following qualifications as per the religious denomination of the individual:-
Pandit and Pandit (Gorkha):
# Hindu candidate with Shastri/ Acharya in Sanskrit from UGC recognized University.
# Also, the religious qualification of the person should be less:-
# ‘Karam Kand’ as the main/main subject during Shastri/Acharya.
Or
# One Year Diploma in ‘Karam Kand’.
Granthi :
# Sikh candidates with Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognized University. Also, the person must have ‘Gyani’ in Punjabi.
Maulvi (Sunni and Shia):
# Muslim candidates with Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognized university. In addition, the person should have Aleem in Arabic or Adeeb-e-Mahir/Urdu Master in Urdu.
Padre:
# Christian Candidates with Graduation in any discipline from a UGC recognized University.
# In addition, the person should have been ordained a priest by the appropriate ecclesiastical authority and is on the approved list of the local bishop.
Bodh Bhikshu (Mahayana):
# Any person who has been ordained a monk/Buddhist priest by the appropriate authority.
# The term appropriate authority shall mean the head priest of the monastery where the person is ordained to the priesthood.
# The head priest should be in possession of a Geshe (Ph.D.) of Khanpa or Lopon or Rabjam with the appropriate certificate from the monastery.
Physical Standard and Fitness Test :
Height : General : 160 Cm. & Gorkhas / Ladakhi : 157 Cm.
Chest : 77 Cm (5+ Cm.)
Weight : General : 50 Kg & Gorkhas / Ladakhi : 48 Kg
Physical Fitness Test : Running : 1600 Meter in 08 Minutes
