RRB Paramedical Education Qualification
1. Nursing Superintendent: To be eligible for the position of Nursing Superintendent, candidates must hold a certificate as a Registered Nurse and Midwife, obtained after completing a 3-year course in General Nursing and Midwifery from a recognized school of Nursing or institution approved by the Indian Nursing Council. Alternatively, candidates with a B.Sc in Nursing are also eligible.
Note: The Indian Nursing Council provides special concessions for Auxiliary Nurse Midwives, Midwives, and B grade Nurses, allowing for reduced course periods. Candidates who obtain the required qualifications under these concessions are also eligible for recruitment.
2. Health & Malaria Inspector Gr II: For the position of Health & Malaria Inspector Gr II, candidates should have a B.Sc degree with Chemistry as a Main or Optional subject. In addition, candidates must have either a one-year Diploma of Health/Sanitary Inspector or a one-year National Trade Certificate in Health Sanitary Inspector awarded by the National Council for Vocational Training, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, New Delhi.
3. Dialysis Technician: Candidates must possess a B.Sc. degree and either (a) a Diploma in Haemodialysis or (b) two years of satisfactory in-house Training/Experience in Haemodialysis work in a reputable institution (proof of qualification required).
4. Radiographer X-Ray Technician: Candidates must have completed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and hold a Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technician/Radiodiagnosis Technology (a 2-year course) from a recognized institute. Science graduates with a Diploma in Radiography/X-Ray Technician/Radiodiagnosis Technology (2-year course) will be given preference.
5. Pharmacist (Entry Grade): Candidates must have completed 10+2 in Science or its equivalent, with a Diploma in Pharmacy from a recognized institution and be registered as a Pharmacist under the Pharmacy Act, 1948. Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharma) from a recognized university or equivalent and registered under the Pharmacy Act, 1948 are also eligible.
6. Laboratory Assistant Grade II: 12th (10+2 stage) in Science plus (a) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) (OR) (b) Certificate Course in Medical Lab. Technology at par with Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT)subject to the fulfillment of (i) The course has been done from the institution which is recognized by a University or Technical Board of State Government/Central Government authority (ii) The duration of the course is at least 01 year (iii) During the course the candidate should have done the training on full time basis and (iv) At the end of the course, there should be system of examination which has been successfully passed by the candidate. Note Certificate should be a minimum of one year duration and above qualification should have been done full time. Open and Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts and services under the Central Government provided they have been approved by the University Grants Commission.
7. ECG Technician: ECG Technician positions require a minimum of 10+2 / Graduation in Science along with a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in ECG Laboratory Technology, Cardiology, Cardiology Technician, or related fields from a reputable institution. The certificate should have a minimum duration of one year. Educational qualifications obtained through Open and Distance Learning mode from universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament are automatically recognized for employment under the Central Government, provided they are approved by the University Grants Commission.

- ONLY ONE online application is required to be submitted by the candidate.
- There shall be a CBT (computer based test) for all the notified categories followed by document verification.
- The Question paper for Single Stage CBT will be of 90 minutes duration for 100 questions
- The question papers shall be of objective multiple choice type with four options. Only one of these four options will be the correct answer.
- There shall be negative marking in CBT (Computer Based Test / Examination) and marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer @1/3 of the marks allotted for each question.
