Gauhati University has released the official notification of Gauhati University B.Ed. Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET) for admission to GU B.Ed. Syllabus, 2022-2023 academic session. Interested candidates can submit their online application in the official application portal of GUBEDCET for admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course under Gauhati University from 5th July 2022.

Eligibility Criteria of GU B.Ed Admission
Educational Qualification:
As per NCTE norms, a candidate may be allowed to appear in GUBEDCET-2021 provided he/she has passed B.A/B.Sc./ B.Com. OR MA/MSc/M.Com or equivalent degree program form a recognized Board/University with at least 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD).
Application Fee: A candidate who wants to submit an online application for GUBEDCET-2022 has to pay an application fee of Rs 1500.00 + Bank Transaction fee.
GUBEDCET 2022 Details
In order to select eligible students to enroll for Gauhati University B.Ed admission, all the interested students must appear for a common entrance test. The GUBEDCET exam structure is given below:
# Total No. of Questions: 100
# Total Marks: 400
# GUBEDCET Exam Duration: 2 Hours
# Question Types: All questions will be of MCQ type with four alternative options out of which only one answer will be the correct option.
# Language of question paper: Test booklet and OMR will be in English. The exam will be OMR based.
# Marking System: There will be 4 marks for correct answer and (-1) for wrong answer. No negative marks for unanswered questions.
GUBEDCET Syllabus 2022
A. General English (Vocabulary, Tense, Voice, Narration, Prepositions, Correction of sentences, Comprehension) : 120 Marks.
B. General Knowledge (Indian History, Indian Polity, General Science, Current
affairs) : 120 Marks.
C. Test of Reasoning and Numerical Ability : 120 Marks.
D. Current Indian Education (Issues and Policies) National Policy on Education 2020, Universalization of Elementary Education – Right to Education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) Secondary Education – Rastriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) : 40 Marks.
Examination Centres GUBEDCET
Candidates will be able to appear in any one of the following GUBEDCET-2022 centers and will have to indicate the same while filling the online form. A candidate has to select any three examination centres. A candidate will be appointed in any one of the following centers depending upon the feasibility of a particular centre.
